SUMMARY:

The object of research will be the dialogue of knowledge in the Rio Bonito Settlement and aims to rescue and record living memories through the settlers who lived the entire struggle process, before, during, and after the creation of the settlement and its evolution, bringing historicity around the dialogue of agroecological knowledge, the resistance and difficulties faced in the process of maintaining knowledge, practices and their modes of production, taking into account ancestral culture and knowledge. The peasants who live in this territory resisted bravely and this space still has a super diverse culture, where family farming prevails with ancestral knowledge and the exchange of experiences between the settlers and neighboring communities. There are also many settlers who chose to work on their plot based on the principles of agroecology where they fight for the restoration of degraded areas and their preservation, since the area was previously used for cattle breeding and deforestation. Agroecology is the path to producing healthy food for men and women in the countryside and in the city, in addition to fairer and more sustainable systems. Therefore, this research work intends, through orality, to systematize reports on local knowledge and practices, taking into account family farming, agroecology, sustainable development and the process of resistance over the years with technological advancement, relating positive points and negative ones and the relationship between popular and scientific knowledge.
