SUMMARY:

This research addresses the support provided by pedagogues of the Specialized Learning Support Service (SEAA) of the Department of Education of the Federal District (SEEDF). The guiding question is: how can the interventions of SEAA pedagogues influence pedagogical practice? The general objective is to analyze the support provided by pedagogues of the Specialized Learning Support Service of SEEDF. The specific objectives include: a) To identify, in accordance with the relevant legislation, the assumptions underlying the support provided by SEAA pedagogues of SEEDF; b) To outline the working relationship between the Specialized Learning Support Team, the Learning Support Classroom, and the school’s pedagogical organization; c) To understand how SEAA pedagogues intervene with teachers and what possible influences these interventions may have. The theoretical framework is grounded in discussions on dialectics and educational praxis, understood as the unity of theory and practice in the process of social transformation. The foundations of Pedagogy and its development as a science of education are emphasized. This is a qualitative study, whose methodology is based on HistoricalDialectical Materialism and Critical Discourse Analysis. The research instruments include questionnaires, interviews, and Documentary Analysis of SEEDF regulations. The results and conclusions are expected to contribute to a critical understanding of pedagogical support
