SUMMARY:

This study aims to investigate pedagogical mechanisms that value quilombola practices in mathematics education, formulating the following research question: what pedagogical actions emerge from the problematization of Ethnomathematics in the Kalunga quilombola territory, and how can they contribute to the teaching and learning of mathematics based on socio-ethnocultural practices? The general objective is to analyze these actions and their contribution to mathematics education in quilombola contexts. The dissertation adopts a multipaper format, comprising five scientific articles interconnected by a common objective, although each maintains methodological and thematic independence. The first article, theoretical in nature and with an exploratory qualitative approach, conducts an ethnographic study on quilombos, focusing on conceptual aspects and their historical transitions, based on bibliographic research and document analysis. The second article examines Quilombola School Education in the state of Goiás through bibliographic and documentary research, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The third article presents a systematic review of Quilombola School Education over the past thirteen years, aiming to identify advancements, setbacks, and prospects, with a theoretical, bibliographic, and documentary emphasis. The fourth article investigates, based on the accounts of the Kalunga community elders, ethnomathematical elements present in daily life, seeking to understand how Ethnomathematics manifests naturally in the quilombola educational context. This study employs an exploratory qualitative approach and theoretical categorization
