SUMMARY:

This research has as object of study the competency foreseen in the BNCC - Digital Culture – and its materialization in the state and district high school curricula. The general objective of this investigation is to analyze how Digital Culture is presented in the curricula of state and district high school systems. The methodology used in the development of this investigation is based on bibliographic research and documentary research. This study is predominantly qualitative and uses a critical approach. From this perspective, this study is organized into four chapters: i) In the first chapter, “State of the Art”, the mapping of academic production on the subject is carried out; ii) the second chapter, “Curriculum”, addresses a conceptualization and historicization of the term curriculum, its manifestations, theories and influences. In addition, this chapter aims to present the BNCC, its history until its implementation and a critical analysis of its content and the influences that conceived it; iii) the third chapter, “Digital Culture”, aims to present a conceptualization and historicization of DICTs and digital culture, for which it discusses technologies and their importance in contemporary society and how digital culture is expressed in the BNCC; iv) the fourth chapter, “Analysis of state and district high school curricula”, will address how digital culture is expressed in the aforementioned curricula, in addition to identifying the concepts of digital culture, technologies and competence expressed in these curricular proposals. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the understanding of how Digital Culture is expressed in the national, state and district curricula, in addition to highlighting the existing power relations in the construction of the BNCC and its neoliberal influences with a view to maintaining a society and education project aimed at maintaining social control and inequality.
