Student service policy in light of the results of the Unimontes' institutional self-assessment: between what was thought and what carried out.
Student assistance; institutional self-assessment; Sinaes; Education Superior; state university. The research proposal presented here aims to analyze how managers and representations of the State University of Montes Claros (Unimontes) appropriate and use the results of institutional self-assessments, carried out based on the indicators of the National Education Assessment System. Higher Education (Sinaes), to improve and/or qualify student assistance actions. This is a case study, whose approach is qualitative, based on dialectical historical materialism. In addition to developing a state of knowledge, which allowed us to identify and understand what has been scientifically produced on the subject, we propose carrying out bibliographic, documentary and field research. The intention is to carry out semi-structured interviews with 10 (ten) subjects referred to as managers and/or representatives of Unimontes, involved with student assistance actions and institutional self-evaluation. We hope that this study will expand the possibilities of gaining knowledge about internal assessment, encouraging the recognition and use of its results to qualify student assistance, which is part of the service policy envisaged by Sinaes.
