SUMMARY:

Mental health processes in the school context have been discussed in several studies and are a cause for concern in educational practices. When addressing this topic, this work recognizes the school as a space that potentially promotes the mental health of adolescents as it can offer affective and social instruments that favor the inclusion of singularities. For this purpose, a perspective that articulates education, mental health and human development is relevant, in order to allow advancement in paths of intelligibility regarding processes of subjective suffering of adolescents for a complex understanding of the diversities and singularities of adolescents in the space school (post) pandemic. In light of the Theory of Subjectivity from a cultural-historical approach by Fernando Gonzalez Rey, this research aims to understand how situations of adolescent suffering are subjectively configured in a public school in the Federal District in the post-pandemic context, emphasizing developing educational principles and strategies that favor subjective development in this context, in addition to pathologization. Using the Constructive-Interpretative Methodology, based on Qualitative Epistemology, we will address how subjective suffering is configured in the social subjectivity of the school and in the individual subjectivity of a student through a case study. The instruments will be: conversational dynamics, dialogues about photographs, drawings and sentence completion techniques, with the aim of encouraging engaged, critical and reflective participation by participants. The research is intended to be a contribution to the discussion about the reception of adolescents in subjective distress in educational institutions, as well as reflecting on possible subjective resources generated by the school institution itself in the face of current mental health problems emerging.
