PANDEMICS, POVERTY AND EDUCATION. PERCEPTIONS OF TEACHERS OF THE JUSCELINO KUBITSCHEK SCHOOL (SOL NASCENTE/PÔR DO SOL, DF)
Teachers; brazilian social program "DF sem Miséria; right to education; poverty; comparative education.
The work was developed in the Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGE) of the Faculty of Education (FE) at the University of Brasilia (UnB), in the Research Line Comparative Studies in Education (ECOE). It deals with teachers' perceptions about poverty and how they interfere in the understanding of the formative paths of their students, especially of students whose families were contemplated by the social benefits program Plano DF-Sem-Miséria. Six teachers from the Juscelino Kubitschek Elementary School, in the administrative region Sol Nascente/Pôr de Sol of the Federal District, participated in the research. According to his comparative approach, the study considers the temporal dimension as its perspective of comparison. We consider as reference marks the suspension and the resumption of in-person classes, during the pandemic period (February 2020 - August 2022), as well as the end of the Plan DF-sem-Miséria, in November 2021.
