It analyzes the práxis of graduates of the Degree in Rural Education ( LPEC) at the federal University of the South and southeast of Pará ( Unifesspa) in order to understand their professional performance and experiences, considering limits and possibilities. Which it was guided by the method of historical and dialectical materialism. The field research, carried out in southeastern pará from July 2023 to March 2024, involved techiques such as participant observation, interviews and document analysis. The results showed that the social practice of educators who graduated from LPEC/ Unfesspa is conditioned by multiple determinations. Dialectically, the majority of graduates find themselves inserted as formal education workers and linked to educational processes that go beyond school, where the organic insertion in the political organization of workers stands out. The tensions regarding the non- inclusion of the LPEC graduate profile in the legislation that regulates teaching in education networks are a manifestation of the presence and hegemony of another ongoing training Project, aligned with agréments, with multilateral organizations, and if effective, among other ways, through the distance learning modality, also in the provision of secondary education. The self-organization initiatives of these educators for their professional insertion in territories with face-to-face provision of pedagogical linked to the life and culture of people present themselves as resistance to the hegemonic Project of educating youth and the working class; they constitute a práxis that takes up guidelines from the origin of the conception of Rural Education, in a way that generates revolutionary potential.
