This qualification work addresses childhood, its spatialities and geographies, at school based on the
experiences of children from Vila Telebrasília, Federal District. Based on the voices and views of
children, aged 9 to 11, from two public schools, we sought to investigate how they experience and
relate to school. The research was based on the fields of Childhood Geography and multidisciplinary
studies on Childhood. With a qualitative methodology we use the Photovoice Methodology, using
photographs taken by children and workshops in which they can develop their peer and spatial
culture. Finally, we discuss the ethical issues surrounding research with children and the importance
of their voices through photography.
