SUMMARY:

This project seeks to understand, alongside Black women of the MST Agrarian Reform in Planaltina (DF), how they define their territories as Black peasant territories, considering their gender and racial relations in the construction of their bonds with the land. The aim is to recognize Black Landless women as protagonists and interpreters of the multiple dimensions of the Brazilian rural landscape, a space in which they have always been present but from which the so-called “official” history has systematically excluded them. To this end, the research adopts the theoretical-methodological frameworks of Escrevivência, by Conceição Evaristo (2020), and Afrografias da Memória, by Leda Maria Martins (2021), evoking their knowledge and the ways they relate to their territories. This is an
intersectional study, grounded in the oral traditions and ancestry of Black Landless women.
