SUMMARY:

The research analyzes the conflict involving the Munduruku people and the State/concessionaire companies in the context of the construction of the Teles Pires and São Manoel hydroelectric plants, under the analytical framework of legal pluralism and cosmopolitics, identifying the multiple overlaps between the Munduruku legal system and the state, particularly with regard to the protection of places and artifacts sacred to indigenous peoples.
