"The general objective of the thesis is to analyze the limits and conditions imposed on state entities for the treatment of personal data in activities related to criminal prosecution. Among its specific objectives, it intends to identify the limits, in the current Brazilian and world regulatory spectrum, including the obstacles of technological nature (privacy by design and data protection by design), for the processing of data in criminal prosecution, as well as to verify if - and in which situations - prior judicial authorization is necessary, delimiting the scope of the so-called clauses of judicial reserve and their relation to the conception of personal data as a projection of the rights of personality in the context of Brazilian Constitutional Law."
