SUMMARY:

The practice known as lawfare has raised debates both in society and in academia. Observed in its military, social, political and economic typologies, lawfare has an instrumental dimension, aimed at achieving certain ends, and a structural dimension, as a structural element for the consolidation of neoliberal rationality. In Brazil, in a context of hybrid wars, deepened with the so-called June 2013 Journeys, lawfare, which had Operation Lava Jato as its main actor, came to constitute a central element for the expansion and consolidation of neoliberalism and the rise of the extreme right in the country.
