SUMMARY:

This partial thesis report describes the ethnographic journey around the trajectory of Jade Lopes, a 56-year-old trans person and community leader, in the Surubiu-Açú quilombo, located in the Baixo Amazonas region, in Santarém, Pará (BR) . The elaboration of the question starts from the interest in understanding how local histories integrate the historical-social process of expanding rights, in the critical perspective of legal pluralism on the theme of gender and sexuality difference. In this way, the study seeks to answer the following question: how can the local community history of gender transitivity, based on the trajectory of Jade Lopes - political leadership in the Surubiu-Açú quilombo - can contribute to the movement of expansion of rights in the agenda of the difference? The fieldwork had three main stages, in which there was participant observation, through unstructured recorded interviews and informal conversations recorded in a field diary, in addition to the production of images, which make up the ethnophotography presented in the second part of the text of this research. . The first immersion in the quilombo took place in December 2020, for three days; the second, for five days, in June 2021; the third, for 14 days, in October 2021. Despite the difficulties in communication at a distance due to the low access to the internet and to the telephone signal in the region, the phone calls and conversations in the messaging application have been maintained since June 2020. that, in the context of gender transitivity in the community world, it is possible to have a right to difference capable of protecting the pluralities of homotransdissident bodies. The argument is built in dialogue with authors from the field of the decolonial perspective, especially Rita Laura Segato, whose theory approaches the historical project of bonds - guided by reciprocity and the creation of community - and the historical alterities, in which, in local histories, the forms of being-Other are constituted by social groups whose interactions and specific formations are established in the interrelationship with the national society.
