This research aims to illustrate recent phenomena of social media and algorithmic bias in the 2022 general elections, based on the study of public ad repositories. The study seeks to understand how social media platforms operate in relation to hate speech, particularly from a gender perspective. The goal is to determine whether there is a natural bias within the platform that influences the formation of echo chambers. Based on this analysis and a literature review, the research intends to illustrate the potential effects of unregulated social media use in electoral contexts.
