SUMMARY:

The purpose of the research is to analyze how trade secrets are mentioned in the Brazilian Data Protection Law, and how it is possible to make the protection of this right compatible with the constitutional guarantee of personal data protection. Based on a specific analysis of the Brazilian legislation, the research wants to analyze whether the law ends up creating an additional obstacle to transparency and data security. In the end, the research also intendeds to suggest propositions that can conciliate right to data protection with trade secrets.
