SUMMARY:

The general objective of the research is to analyze aspects inherent to the relationship between risk and return of regulated companies. As specific objectives, the following stand out: a) systematically review the literature on regulatory risk and return of regulated companies; b) analyze the effect of regulatory risk on the systematic risk of regulated infrastructure companies; and c) analyze the value relevance of the infrastructure asset according to the regulatory and corporate financial statements of regulated companies in the Brazilian electricity sector.
