SUMMARY:

Our culture is dynamic. So, it is subjected to constant interference. The study of the intentions of cultural images is highly relevant, as it is capable of provoking changes in individual and collective thinking. Cinema, with the help of its tools, represents several aspects of our culture and society, creating images that intend to explain our world. Thus, the purpose of this research is to demonstrate through an example of semiotic analysis how the media intentionally imagines and tries to represent a certain country and culture.
