The theme of this dissertation is part of the research line of Translation and Sociodiscursive Practices, developed in the Postgraduate Program in Translation Studies at the University of Brasília (POSTRAD/UnB). The object of study are the Regulatory and Warning Traffic Signs that are taught the theoretical-technical course as a prerequisite for obtaining the National Driver's License (CNH), popularly called Driver's License, with the aim of translate into Brazilian Sign Language - Libras the meaning and definition of these signs that are used nationwide in the daily life of the Deaf driver. The target audience of this research are Deaf candidates who participate in the CNH acquisition process in the Federal District, or Deaf people already qualified, as well as Sign Language Translators and Interpreters (TILS), traffic teachers and others interested in this topic. . To achieve our objective, this research aims to: i) identify the structure of the Traffic Department of the Federal District (DETRAN/DF) for the Deaf to participate in the stages of the qualification process; ii) search for teaching materials in Sign Language to obtain a CNH in Brazil; identify the translation processes that involve intersemiotics into Sign Language. In order to achieve our objectives, we divided the methodological course into the following steps: i) Approach and nature of the research; ii) Definition of the objective, target audience and constitution of the corpus; iii) Collection of image material from the plates; iii) Organization and elaboration of terminology sheets supported by the methodology of Tuxi (2017), also using QR Code technology to view the videos, facilitating the interaction of the Deaf with the translation of the plates. Finally, we suggest a macro and microstructure of a glossary based on the terminographic sheets and the translation of items from the simulated theoretical test of DETRAN/DF, addressing the content of plates, as a way of validating the research carried out. We hope that this work will expand the Terminology research space in the Studies of Translation and Interpretation of Sign Languages, in addition to encouraging new discussions and deepening studies in DETRAN's for the creation of accessible teaching materials used in the formation of the Deaf conductor.
